The Society for Hematopathology (SH) is a dynamic organization established to stimulate interest, research, exchange of information and dissemination of knowledge pertaining to the biology, diagnosis and clinical aspects of the hematopoietic and lymphoreticular systems. The SH is a diverse community of international physicians, scientists, diagnostic hematopathologists and surgical pathologists from a variety of backgrounds including community practice and academia, as well as researchers with interests in hematology/hematopathology. SH is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization under the IRS federal tax code with the tax identification number (EIN) 62-1114907.

EDUCATIONAL FUNDS

Fund
General Donation General donations will help the overall operations of the society.
PIT (Pathologists in Training) Award Fund The PIT award is given each year to trainees who present an outstanding poster or platform related to hematopathology at the annual USCAP meeting. The winners for the first, second, and third place will be announced at the annual USCAP Meeting. Monetary donations will support these awards.
Classification Advancement Meeting Preparation is underway for a Classification Advancement Meeting (formerly the Clinical Advisory Committee) which will be held in early 2026 and will bring together over 200 hematologists, pathologists, and geneticists from around the world, including those involved in both the WHO 5th edition and the International Consensus Classification, to propose a single update to the two existing classifications. The end-product of the CAM will be a series of published journal articles which are slated to guide the development of a unified WHO 6th edition classification. In order to host this critical gathering of global experts, we are soliciting donations to help support the cost of hosting the meeting, and to support travel for participants. Donations of any amount are appreciated.

As the Society for Hematopathology is a 501(3)(c) non-profit organization, your contribution is considered a tax-deductible donation. 100% of your donation will be utilized to cover the costs of the meeting, and remaining donations will be held by SH to be utilized only for future CAM meetings. Aside from travel costs to the CAM, no individuals receive direct compensation for this work.
